Do I have to wear a helmet while riding a bicycle in Florida?

If you’re under the age of 16, the law does require you to wear a helmet. If a crossing guard or an officer sees you without one, they can give you a verbal warning or a ticket. If you’re above 16, it is still encouraged that you wear a helmet for safety reasons. In Florida, there’s a lot of bicyclists out here, a lot of motorists, so wearing a helmet is really the best thing to do.
