Pinellas County Court Judge Dora Komninos Sworn In

Dora Komninos, a former assistant State Attorney, won the recent election for Division F, County Court Judge in Pinellas County, Florida. The seat was vacated by now-retired Judge Thomas Freeman.
Judge Komninos was invested on February 24, 2017. She was sworn in by Pinellas County Court Judge John Carassas.
Judge Komninos has Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Law (LL.M) degrees in criminal law. During her tenure with the State Attorney’s Office, she was responsible for overseeing all domestic violence prosecutions in Pinellas County.
Judge Komninos is also an accomplished litigator, having tried cases from misdemeanors through murder cases. She has been a member of the Pinellas County Domestic Violence Task Force since 2003.
The judge announced she was entering the race in November 2015. Attorney Peter Sartes was a member of her campaign committee, and on May 20, 2016, Tragos Sartes & Tragos sponsored a meet and greet with the candidate at Flamestone
Grill in Oldsmar, Florida.
